Private Contacts is an app that will help you keep your sensitive contacts private. You can select your private contacts from the Addressbook.
Features:
- Create contacts in your Private Contacts or in your Addressbook
- Move contacts from the Addressbook to your Private Contacts
- Move contacts from your Private Contacts to the Addressbook
- Delete contacts from Private Contacts
- Password protection
- Call/Send text message from Private Contacts
WARNING #1: If you forget your password you will loose your Private Contacts!

Private Contacts app good for
This is the best app Ive seen so far for managing contacts with password protection. It is simple and easy to use compared to other apps Ive tried (bbCalc, ContactsPro,...) and best of all its free :)
PROS:
- It loads relatively quickly (though I dont have too many contacts at the moment)
- Allows you to quickly move contacts into the default Contacts app or just within the Private Contacts app
- Allows for alphanumeric passwords
CONS:
- No search bar
ISSUES:
- If you add in an address for a contact and press Done, and then click on the address, the default Maps app launches and the address is lost. Address is unsaved until you go back to the main list of contacts.
- Info button on bottom left corner exits the application (crash?)
FEATURES THAT WOULD ENHANCE THE APP:
- Ability to add multiple contacts into groups for better organization
- Ability to backup contacts / send backup to email
Keeps my work and personal contacts completely separate. Easy to use. LOVE IT!
Exactly what i was looking for.....strongly recommend this app
Cool little app and free to boot! But needs the ability to send send sms/mms from it. Currently, it takes you to your designated mail account, eg: Hotmail, Gmail, etc.
Can you fix that?

Some bad moments
I pressed "i" button, it crashed and didnt save my pass info from the first step.
+ The icon is not optimized for retina display. So sad.
Cannot access any of my contacts! Will try on an old itouch. No suppory at all
The app keeps shutting down.
Its still keeps shutting down and all my important info is in it.
Will I lose everything?
Horrible. No app support. Nothing works on the app since iOS 7. Crashes when trying to log in. I have tried to contact the seller and of course their website crashes also. Contacting Apple to try and have it removed from App Store. Unbelievable.
But it freezes at the password point locks keyboard up and thats as far as itll go.
Needto update the app plz.
Not working for me. Old GUI with no updates. Crashes all the time.
